The Quest - Macha's Curse serves as an expansion to The Quest, a visually stunning open-world role-playing game featuring classic grid-based movement and turn-based combat.

Once the expansion is activated, players gain access to new areas and adventures. Alternatively, for those without The Quest, Macha's Curse can be enjoyed as a standalone gaming experience.

The narrative unfolds as the esteemed wizard Cathbad summons you to the Red Branch Knights' Castle in the realm of Ulidia. Queen Maeve of Connacht has launched an invasion of Ulidia in pursuit of the mystical Brown Bull of Cooley. The valiant Knights of the Red Branch have valiantly confronted her forces, led by their esteemed champion, Cuchulainn.

Both armies have suffered considerable losses with Ulidia bearing the brunt. Macha, a vengeful deity, has unleashed her curse upon the warriors due to King Connor's mistreatment, compelling her to partake in horse racing while on the cusp of childbirth.

The battleground is now saturated with the blood of the fallen, and only you have the power to halt the senseless violence. This enchanted land beckons for your assistance. Arm yourself with your finest equipment as you are selected as Ulidia's Defender.

 <li>To access the new areas (not applicable in standalone play), venture to Mithria harbor and converse with Captain Hanty. Opt for "Macha's Curse" as your destination. It is advisable to reach a minimum level of 40 before engaging with the expansion's challenges.</li>
